Our Staff
A "family" devoted to our mission.
The staff members at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Citrus County are very important to the success of the program. All are dedicated individuals, passionate about children.We believe it is imperative that children have consistent, positive relationships with an adult they can trust, one who they feel likes them, and someone who they feel accepts them as they are. Our staff members fill this role.
The single biggest predictor of a child’s future success is the presence of at least one non-parent adult in their life. Youth who have positive adult relationships are:
- o More motivated to learn and do better in school
- o Have a better sense of themselves and their future.
- o Accept and take responsibility for themselves and others.
- o More resilient and less likely to engage in risky behavior.
