President’s Message
Welcome to your
NEIGHBORHOOD CLUB
On January 27th, 2009, I
became the Chief Volunteer Officer of the Boys and Girls
Club of Citrus County.
I am honored and humbled to embark on the
fantastic journey of leading this organization for the
next two years.
With a dedicated Board of Directors and an
UNBELEIVABLE staff, I am confident in our direction,
and, more importantly, our future.
2009 is a new beginning… With the
grand opening of our new Central Ridge Unit, the Boys
and Girls Club of Citrus County will be positioned to
serve over 700 local children, in four locations around
the county.
We will truly be your Neighborhood Club with locations
in Homosassa, Crystal River, Inverness, and Beverly
Hills / Central Ridge.
As we move forward, we will be looking
for support from our community.
Our new $20 Club has been a great success, but we
can’t stop there.
2008 was a grim reminder of what can happen when
the economy is struggling.
The Boys and Girls Club is needed more than ever
before. We
have been serving this community for over 16 years,
offering a safe, fun, and educational place for the
children of Citrus County, with programs that empower
our youth to reach their full potential as students and
citizens of our community.
I want to give a heartfelt THANK YOU
to the community for all the support we have been given
over the years.
Without your continued support, we could not be
“The Positive Place For Kids” in Citrus County.
